LHHS Reunion Coordinators Info
Lake Highlands High School - Dallas, Texas

If you want to have a great reunion for your class, you have come to the right place.

If your Class has not yet submitted info for your Class Web Site, you can coordinate Reunion Info by submitting info for Your Class Web Page here.  If you are not the coordinator, contact him/her and let them know about this free Web Site run by LHHS Alumni volunteers.  This site can make reunions much easier and more successful, especially when it comes to finding lost classmates.

Even if your reunion is a few years off, believe me, it is not too early to get started.  The more time you give this web site to do some of the work, the less work your committee will have to do in the long run.  Here are some ideas to get started:

  • Gather some info from your past reunion coordinators (was that you?)
  • Find the last reunion list and create a "lost wildcat" list from it if you don't already have one. Email it to us or fax us at (contact for #). We should post the lost list ASAP, as your surfers may see someone they know the whereabouts and email you/us. See 1970 & 1980 pages for how its presented (they have each found 100+ from the posting). This thing really works!

No list?  Call the high school and get the original list of graduates.  Find an old annual and compare names to get the full list, you don't want to miss somebody that wasn't listed just because they graduated late or left just before graduation.  These lists are usually not 100% accurate, so solicit help from the class-at-large to be sure everybody is included.
  • Start building your address data base by finding people on the Net, it's the quickest and cheapest source.  Go through our links page and gather emails from the various alumni registries.  Grab emails and cities off the guestbook.  Use the search box on our main page and search last names for siblings that might have signed in other classes or be "found" on one of the "Lost Lists".  We had big families at Lake Highlands!  Mercenary people finders can be hired for about $1.50 per name.
  • Whatever your process for deciding about when the reunion is, please post SOME info, even if its a request for input as to when/what they want. If you need a committee, we can recruit on the page. The main thing is to let people know you are alive and that something is coming down the pipes on the web site so they will check back, etc. We can use it like a bulletin board.

We can do sign-up sheets etc whenever the reunion plans are firm, probably in the fall. We can also create an on-line version if you want. If you are using a reunion service like the Party People, they will do all that (for a fee of course).  Feedback we get is that a good committee is hard to beat for a great reunion.

If your coordinator is hard to catch or doesn't understand what we do here, send us their email address, snail-mail address, or telephone number & we'll contact them.

You may submit Reunion info in any simple format via e-mail by contacting us via FAX (email us for #) and we will set up a web site based on that information.  Suggested info:  Class Year, Next Reunion Date, Reunion Coordinator's address/ phone/ e-mail etc., where to submit address updates, & whatever.

You Web designers may submit web sites for your Class, just e-mail us to coordinate that.  Check out some of the other classes (e.g., 1970, 1975, 1980) if you need some ideas, you may copy or download any pages on this lakehighlands.net site for a template.  We might place some limits on content or your design.

Experienced Reunion Coordinators we need your input to make this guide more helpful for all.  Please give us your input.
